Abstract

A quasi-optic lens antenna with corrugated feed-horns in the balanced hybrid mode is investigated here using Gaussian beam-mode analysis. The relationships between beam parameters and geometric parameters of the horns and lens are given. Depending on required highest gain, low sidelobes or truncation, the optimal locations of the lens relative to the horns can be determined.
