Abstract

The influence of meson-exchange currents and isobar configurations on the response function and its dependence on the virtual photon momentum are investigated in the case of one-nucleon knockout under quasi-free conditions. Specific calculations are performed for the reaction 40Ca(e, e′p) 39K in view of setting the scale of their effect on possible experiments at higher values of the virtual photon momentum and/or missing momentum.
