Abstract

The relation between the quarks exchange effects and the meson exchange effects in nuclear force and nuclear currents is discussed and the basis for the hybrid calculation including both effects is examined. A peculiar feature of the vector meson exchange is studied in detail by constructing a schematic composite model for the meson. It is found that a part of the vector meson exchange contribution in the elementary particle treatment is to be interpreted as due to the quark exchange in the composite picture and the relative importance of the two mechanism is determined by the quark-antiquark coupling strength forming the vector meson. A close connection to the charge form factor of the nucleon is also discussed.
