Abstract
The EMC measurement[1] of the polarized proton structure function is related to the quark spin content of the proton $$ \Delta u = + 0.75 \pm 0.06,\;\Delta d = - 0.50 \pm 0.06,\;\Delta s = - 0.22 + 0.06. $$ (1) These unexpected results have led to speculations about the internal spin structure of the nucleon.
