Abstract
Possible breaking patterns of E6, and a residual global SU(4) symmetry leading to lepton-quark mass relations, are discussed. The renormalized value of sin 2θ w is approximately 1 4 . Two different fermion spectra are obtained; one of them being an extension of the SO(10) and SU(5) models.
