Abstract
On the basis of the dependence of the total energy and bond energy of the singlet ground state of a quasimolecule consisting of two CdS quantum dots (QD) on the distance between the QDs and on the radius of the QDs, obtained by the variational method, it was shown that the bond energy in such a quasimolecule is increased and has a value almost two orders of magnitude greater than the bond energy of two excitons in a CdS single crystal.
