Abstract

We present an exact solution of a traversable wormhole in the semiclassical scheme without introducing any unnatural matter as exotic matter, which is a source of the wormhole, and study the back-reaction of the infalling matter on the wormhole. When a static traversable wormhole is used to transport matter from our universe to an other universe, we show that it satisfles the energy conservation law with an appropriate boundary condition. It means that the non-static wormhole perturbed by the ingoing f-matter fleld in an intermediate region flnally returns to its original static state, and that the energy difierence between the ingoing and the radiated energy causes a change in the radius of the throat of the flnal static wormhole as compared with that of the initial wormhole.
