Abstract

The paper shows that in the area of the volumetric charge of the Frenkel defects, due to the large bending of the zones and the small Debye length, a quantum well for holes is formed. It is shown that the potential near the surface behaves linearly. The energies of the quantum energy levels and the hole localization regions in the triangular potential well approximation for the {200} and {111} surfaces are calculated. The energies of the levels increase with increasing temperature, and the localization regions of holes decrease due to decreasing Debye length.
