Abstract

The magnetic relaxation in small (of order of hundreds nanometers) antiferromagnetic particle is considered. To explain very small tunneling (activated) volume in the particle exhibiting a single-domain behavior, we propose to account for the role of defects. The relaxation process is considered as a sequence of small jumps in a potential created by defects. Kinetics of this process is considered.
