Abstract

We extend an early analysis of magnetic quantum oscillation in clean type II superconductors to unconventional superconductors. Since the excess damping in the vortex state is proportional to 〈Δ 2( p)〉 (i.e. average over the quasi-particle trajectory on the Fermi surface perpendicular to the field), this will provide unique information on the anisotropy of the superconducting order parameter Δ( p) .
