Abstract
We investigate the dynamics of a particle on a periodic lattice, coupled to phonons with ohmic dissipation. At T = 0 a symmetry breaking appears, which corresponds to a transition between a localized and a delocalized regime. For T > 0 we recover a diffusive motion for which the diffusion coefficient is computed.
