Abstract

The actual theory of quantum gravity is not yet available, nonetheless, we can cast the canonical formulation of general relativity in order to formally quantise it upon bringing into action the standard procedure consisting on replacing canonical variables by quantum operators (acting on the wave function of the universe). Moreover, the semiclassical approach would yield to obtaining, for a given complex solution of Wheeler-DeWitt equation, the Schrodinger formalism for the wave function of metric perturbations or gravitons plus quantum gravity correcting terms in pure gravity; thus, in the inflationary scenario, we should expect correcting effects in the relic graviton (Zel’dovich) spectrum from quantum gravity. These, on the other hand, could be measured in a future experiment.
