Abstract

In the present paper we develop a semi-classical heat transfer model in order to figure out the parametric distortion of the optical-absorption coefficient of semiconductor under multiple laser irradiations. In the meantime we want to give to experimentalist a powerful tool in order to investigate this behavior. We will use the Fourier heat equation in which will introduce quantum effects (“nonperturbative” and “perturbative” cases). To solve this equation the powerful method of integral transform technique is used. The main conclusion is that two-photon absorption coefficient is responsible in proportion of 90% for the distortion of the optical-absorption coefficient. A practical example of InSb under intense CO2 laser irradiation is given.
