Abstract

High pressure magnetization measurements on ZrZn 2 contradict the expectation of a genuine ferromagnetic quantum critical point previously believed to exist at p c=2.1 GPa. This quantum criticality puzzle is discussed in the light of recent neutron diffraction studies of the non-Fermi liquid puzzle of MnSi. Both studies may identify stable new phases of itinerant-electron magnets.
