Abstract

Considering the equations used in electricity to be quantity equations has raised a lengthy dispute. No agreement was reached on the question whether the dissimilarities between the different systems are caused by a difference in units or in quantities. The present paper demonstrates that the real difference lies in a change in the form of the equations and hence in a change in the coherence of units. In order to clarify the point of discussion the reader is referred to the literature named in footnote 1, 2 and especially 3.
