Abstract

The influence of healthy and pathological aging on white matter microstructure is complex, and involves changes in various properties. In this study, we combined qMRI (to measure macromolecular tissue volume (MTV)) and diffusion imaging for detailed investigation of changes in white matter tissue properties in normal aging and in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) who are at higher risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease.
