Abstract

Quantitative methods refer to the systematic collection and analysis of numerically expressed data. While quantitative methods are less common in contemporary organizational communication than qualitative methods, quantitative methods are no less important in producing new knowledge in the field of study. The entry presents an overview of quantitative methods in organizational communication research. The information is not meant to be comprehensive but rather to highlight the foundational concepts in quantitative organizational communication.
