Abstract
The quantitative determination of mosquito larval abundance is a primary requirement of both mosquito control and research programs. The somewhat limited amount of information that has been published on this subject is scattered and, in no case has it been related to similar information available for other groups of insects. The present paper is an evaluation of the present status of our knowledge on this subject.
