Quantitative differences within motor abilities of pupils of higher grades in primary school

Abstract

The aim of the research was to establish if there is any statisticaly important difference within motorical abilities of the higher grades pupils in the elementary school “Ivo Lola Ribar”,Sombor.The sample was made of 166 pupils ,who attend classes from fifth to eight grades and they were divided into four groups 11 years (N=46) 12 years (N=41) 13 years (N=37), 14 years (N=42).To estimate a motorical abilities the battery of 8 motorical tests was used.Multidifferentional analyses of the varianses (MANOVA) is estimated that statisticaly significant difference exists among examiners between the age of 11 to 14 for the whole sample of variable wich show the level of the motorical abilities ( P= 0,00). Statisticaly significant difference is estimated among the examiners in the speed of running frequency speed of movement, explosive strength of legs coordination, statical strength of arms and shoulders in favour of the examiners of older age. The linear trend of growing motorical abilities is noticed in all analised variables which is in accordance with the age of examiners. Keywords : Primary school age, Boys, Mobility
