Abstract

Monitoring blood beta-hydroxybutyrate is essential in the diagnosis and management of pediatric diabetic-ketoacidosis. Point-of-care capillary beta-hydroxybutyrate testing requires further evaluation in monitoring ketonemia. Study design: Prospective observational analytical study.
