Abstract
Quantitative determination of a mixture of extracts of drugs from volatile oils by high-performance liquid chromatography A mixture of fluid extracts of anis, fennel, caraway, lovage and juniper and of inspissated melissa extract was quantitated by high-performance liquid chromatography after separation of the terpenes by steam distillation and after investigation by thin-layer chromatography (two-fold development). The mixing ratio was determined via characteristic terpenes. The results are satisfactory, and the recoveries were between 94 and 105%.
