Abstract

<p>This paper analyzes the presence and quality of urban green areas in two local communities in the City of Banja Luka, namely: Lazarevo 1 and Lazarevo 2. The aim is to examine which categories and types of green areas are most represented in the study area and what is the quality of existing tree-lines. Two research questions were asked: whether all species are equally presented in the study area and whether the linden species present in this area get sick more often than other species. Part of the results was presented using descriptive statistics (frequency) methods, and to the other part non-parametric tests were applied, Pearson's χ²-test using two basic forms: distribution shape test and χ² test of independence.</p>
