Abstract

A system of overlapped Raman spectra was formed on the basis of three experimentally recorded basic bands and quantitatively analysed by two statistical methods: target factor analysis (TFA) and evolving factor analysis (EFA). The results were compared with one another and with the true values. For intense bands, the values obtained by both methods were in good agreement with the expected values, while for small shoulders of strong bands quantitative analysis by EFA apparently gave better results than TFA.
