• 23 Na MRI enables the quantification of tissue sodium concentration (TSC) • TSC quantification is primarily performed based on external reference phantoms • Internal references have the potential to simplify 23Na MR imaging • CSF and the vitreous humor as internal references on 50 stroke patients • Quantification based on the vitreous humor provided most robust results
