Abstract

This was a pilot study of 36 patients with intrinsic asthma which indicates that routine testing of psychosocial assets and life change would be of value in clinical management. Therapeutic attention should be directed to patients with low psychosocial assets and high life change. It is felt that patients in this group should receive additional medical attention and be taught to reduce life change to a level that they can tolerate.
