Abstract

Quality of service mapping is one of the crucial elements in ATM concept of wide networks. In this paper QoS parameters mapping to ATM network protocols are described. Mapping is made between QoS user and QoS application, and application QoS is mapped to QoS transfer and commutation i.e. to ATM protocols - ATM adaptation layer protocols and finally it is mapped to ATM network performances. Analysis of this QoS mapping parameters process is very important for ATM users when they are choosing classes of service that can be used in communication process through ATM network. .
