Abstract

This paper proposes a comprehensive evaluation scheme for quality of service (QoS) of wireless network based on grey clustering (GC) and rough set (RS) theories in heterogeneous environment. The proposed scheme delivers a clear statement (e.g. good/normal/bad) as an evaluation result about the QoS of wireless network. This scheme contains three parts such as base-station interface module, grey clustering evaluator and rough set modifier. According to the key performance index (KPI) measurement statistical results of wireless network QoS, the evaluation results can be drawn through the processing of the measurement results which is processed by the evaluator and the modifier. Finally, an example is offered to illustrate the rationality and feasibility of the proposed evaluation scheme, which shows that the evaluation results can indicate the QoS of wireless network exactly and help the reconfigure terminal (RT) access the network with the best QoS.
