Abstract

This paper describes an investigation of the description of quality of life by a group of healthy elders. Analysis of a questionnaire, opinion survey, and a focus group interview revealed three components of quality of life and eight physician behaviors which the healthy elders believe enhance their own quality of life. Implications for the education and training of primary care physicians are discussed.
