Abstract

Earlier in this book, you learned about the importance of having an effective, documented quality system in order to have confidence that you are meeting your customer’s requirements and expectations. Stress was placed on the importance of the organization having a ‘management representative with responsibility for quality’. For companies of any size this is a full-time responsibility, bearing with it a title such as Director of Quality, Quality and Reliability Assurance Manager, or the like. Here we will refer to the individual as the Quality Manager.
