•Epidiolex® is a highly purified cannabidiol substance that promises to reduce the seizure burden in patients with diverse types of medically resistant epilepsy. •Subtle subjective positive side effects in neuropsychiatric symptoms have occurred with the use of Epidiolex®. •Prescription approval for Epidiolex® can be cumbersome for physicians and patients. •Adverse effects of Epidiolex® are frequent, e.g., somnolence and gastrointestinal symptoms.
