Abstract
Background: Chronic pain affects 30-60% of cancer patients rising to 90% in patients with advanced disease, with many metastatic patients reporting inadequate pain control despite continuous pain medication. Insomnia affects 76% of cancer patients during chemotherapy, which persists into remission, remaining unresolved by antidepressant therapy.
