Abstract

[Editor 's Note: These three papers were presented in April of 1982 at special SUNY/OCLC sessions, on the interaction of Union Listing and Interlibrary Loan subsystems. Bowen and Hartman spoke in Rochester and New York City respectively on problems associated with quality control in decentralized union listing activities. Bloss addressed problems related to the development of centralized union lists at bo th sessions. Bowen is Serials Librarian at SUNY College at Cortland and Chairperson, Union List of Serials Advisory Committee for the South Central Research Library Council; Hartman is Serials Librarian at Queens College and Union Listing Agent for the City University of New York Union List developed through OCLC (CTYU). She also serves as a SUNY/OCLC delegate to OCLC's Serials Advisory Group meetings in Columbus; Bloss is Project Director, Union List of Serials for the Rochester Regional Research Library Council. She is Chair of the ALA/RTSD/Serials Section Committee on Union Lists of Serials.]
