Quality and access to maternal care in Georgia: A qualitative study among stakeholders

Abstract

Introduction: Maternal mortality and morbidity are directly related to the organization of the maternal care system. During the last decade, the Georgian government has emphasized the importance of improving the maternal care system. However, the improvement of maternal health and the reduction of the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) remain an important concern for the country.
