Abstract
Objective To understand work stress of staff in the medical team against Ebola virus in Sierra Leone when they just arrived. Methods In-depth interviews were conducted to 10 medical workers in the medical team about their work stress when they just arrived. The theme was concluded by KJ methodin the data analysis. Results When they just arrived, stress of the medical staff mainly came from the following three themes: undesirable physiological reaction, complex psychological reaction and good social support. Conclusions In the middle and later stage of work in Sierra Leone, physiological and psychologicalsupport and care should be provided to staff in the medical team, with social support kept improving, so as to help them adapt to the role sooner, and accomplish the medical mission faster and better.
