Abstract

Objective To learn the educational method easily accepted by the diabetes mellitus patient via investigating their true experience of diabetes during education. Methods Using qualitative phenomenological research method, 10 diabetes mellitus patients took part in education more than 5 years were interviewed and recorded, the record was analyzed systematically and the effective educational method was found. Results Six methods, such as behavior change, strengthening interaction to patient, improving nursing skill, psychological counseling need, heavy medical treatment burden, more convenient education to patient were developed. Conclusions To pay more attention to behavior change, strengthen interaction to patient, improve nursing skill, provide psychological counseling, guide the patient to choose correct treatment and lower down the treatment cost may promote scientific and nominative construction of educational team of diabetes mellitus.
