Abstract

We study the behavior of solutions to the system of Prandtl boundary layer equations beyond the separation point of the boundary layer. We obtain conditions on the positive pressure gradient which guarantee the attachment of the boundary layer to the streamlined surface after separation. We prove the possibility of controlling the boundary layer by alternating suction and injection.
