Abstract

(Abstracted from J Pediatr Adolesc Gynecol 2024;37:33–38) Recent years have given way to an exponential rise in social media platforms as major hubs for dissemination and access of health information. This increase has occurred most dramatically in the social media usage of adolescents and young adults (AYAs), with more than 84% of adults aged 18–29 years and 95% of adolescents aged 13–17 years using at least one social media platform in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
