Abstract

This workshop is set against the context of a growing methodological diversity in the field of engineering education research with a range of qualitative or ‘interpretive’ methods currently being adopted by the research community. This mini-workshop will introduce participants to a theoretical framework for ensuring quality in interpretive engineering education research that was recently published in the Journal of Engineering Education. The framework will be introduced as a lens and language for participants to actively explore their own conceptions and practices around qualitative research quality.
