Abstract
Objective: To analyze and identify the main quality criteria essential to ensure the reliability of COVID-19 test results performed in clinical laboratories. Literature Review: Ensuring the quality of COVID-19 testing is vital for the effectiveness of pandemic control strategies. This involves meticulous care with the selection and implementation of tests, the formation and training of teams, and adherence to standards and good practices. Only with an ongoing commitment to quality and accuracy can we ensure that test results reflect the true situation of COVID-19 infection and aid in public health decision-making.Conclusion: To ensure the reliability of COVID-19 test results, it is essential to take a comprehensive approach that encompasses test accuracy, sample quality, rigorous validation, staff qualification, and transparency.
