Abstract
The scarcity of water on the planet has provoked debates and research on finding alternatives for dealing with problem since. The use of treated wastewater for irrigation has proven to be a viable alternative to present significant results in relation to the consumption of water and the awakening of the collective consciousness of the finite responsible for the goods chattels of the planet tract. This study aimed to evaluate the hysicochemical and microbiological characteristics of water of state water company (DESO) treated effluent used for irrigation. The drinking water was collected on tap in the Federal University of ergipe, and treated wastewaters were collected from the Wastewater Treatment Plant of Rosa Elze, located in the city of Sao Cristovao, State of Sergipe, Brazil. Results of these analyzes were compared according to acceptable standards with the three classifications of freshwater used for irrigation according to CONAMA Brazilian Resolution no 357, of March 17, 2005 and no 430 of 13 May 2011. The results of water analyzes of water ESO were within the acceptable standards established by CONAMA Brazilian legislation, while the values of the analysis of the effluent are out of acceptable, preventing its reuse for irrigation.
