Abstract
Aluminium molybdate (Al 2(MoO 4) 3) contains four inequivalent aluminium sites spread over an isotropic chemical shift range of only ≈3 ppm. Satellite transition magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy is employed to deduce the quadrupole (both C q and η) and isotropic chemical shift interactions at the four sites for the first time.
