Abstract

Nonlinear equations governing the dynamics of ion-temperature-gradient-driven drift-waves in dust-contaminated plasma with equilibrium density, temperature and magnetic field gradients are derived. A coherent nonlinear vortex solution has been constructed in the form of quadrupole vortex for some specific profiles of the equilibrium flow, number density, temperature and magnetic field. The results of the present investigation should be helpful to understand the nonlinear vortex structure formation in magnetically confined dust-contaminated tokamak plasma.
