Abstract
The audio–visual archives are entities which aims are the conservation, the digitalization, the restoration and other operations of the preservation that acquire sense —only— from the public consultation. In the Argentina, there are not detected related institutions that fulfill all these aims and, especially, in many cases, there is in use incorrectly the criterion for prioritizing the conservation and the restoration on the access.
