Abstract
The technical progress and tremendous growth made in internet services (e.g., voice call, video call, video streaming, email) creates diverse approaches which have been used to provide the best quality of service (QoS) level for users. In this work, we propose a new QoS mapping method between DSCP/IP in LTE and EDCA AC/MAC in WiFi. Using this new mapping, we have analyzed QoS features in both networks. The analysis shows improvement in QoS parameters in terms of packet End-to-End delay, packet loss, packet delay variation, and throughput compared to when QoS is not used in WiFi and a previous proposed mapping between LTE and WiFi. The Type of software used in this method is OPNET simulator.
