Abstract
The WiMAX provides high speed internet access through the means of wireless communication. Handoff is one of the Quality of Service (QoS) parameter in the WiMAX network which supports mobility and it is the main demanding research in wireless network. The hard handoff (HHO) is performed when the connection with the SBS is broken before creating the new connection with the TBS but it has a poor performance in a long service time. The IEEE802.16e paradigm is proposed to support mobility. During HOs Service Level Agreements (SLA) and QoS must be maintained and hence high mobility with slight interruption of service under HHO is a major concern in Mobile WiMAX network. The high HO latency may be unacceptable to real-time, delay sensitive applications while Considering QoS. The proposed scheme minimizes the handover delay during the transmission of signals from the Previous Base Station (PBS) to Target Base Station (TBS) by providing the location based updated mobility history table and during network re-entry process in which CID assignment strategy is used; this scheme also avoids confliction of CIDs With existing CIDs in a neighbouring cell.
