Abstract

Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM) is a new digital radio broadcasting system for the frequency bands below 30 MHz. A high quality of audio and data transmission is achieved by adoption of the COFDM modulation with a multilevel coding scheme, which has high resistance to the multipath fading and interference. It adapts to be implemented in single frequency network (SFN): a transmitter network in which all transmitters broadcast identical information simultaneously at the same frequency. The network quality of service (QoS) control strategy is specified in this paper, and a new network QoS control method based on artificial neural network is discussed.
