Abstract

Bahlul Abdulla wrote about “Dede Korkut epos” and was known as an unique scientist in the historical place of philological thought. One of the great services of the korkutcritics scientist was his attempt as a researcher to uncover poetic structure, deep layers of originality, without re-writing previous studies. Research by Bahlul Abdulla proves that the epic reflects the psychology, nature of the ancient Turks, their loyalty to the land, statehood traditions, relations with neighboring peoples, religious views, family relationships, traditions and customs. The scientist criticized previous studies in these monographs devoted to the study of Kitabi Dada Gorgud, to clarify a number of issues, to evaluate the monument from a new position.
