Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy and safety of Qingganlidan oral liquid combined with ganciclovir in the treatment of infants with cytomegalovirus hepatitis. Methods 70 infants with cytomegalovirus hepatitis were randomly divided into two groups,35 for each group. The study group was treated with Qingganlidan oral solution plus intravenous ganciclovir, while the control group received intravenous ganciclovir for 4 weeks. The efficacy and adverse reactions were observed. Results Serum total bilirubin, direct bilirubin examination,GPT,and r-GGT returned to normal, liver shrank to its normal size, jaundice subsided in the study group,as compared with the control group, with a statistical difference (P<0.01).The negative rate of CMV-IgM did not differ significantly between the study group and the control group (17 patients vs.16 patients,P>0.05).Conclusions Qingganlidan oral liquid combined with ganciclovir can effectively restore liver function, lower levels of aminotransferase, relieve jaundice, but has no side effects in the treatment of infants with cytomegalovirus hepatitis; it is worth popularizing clinically. But this therapy has no marked effect on negative changes in CMV-IgM. Key words: Infants with cytomegalovirus hepatitis ; Qingganlidan oral liquid; Ganciclovir
