Abstract
We formulate lattice QED in which two Wilson fermions describe the left- and right-handed components of electrons. The Wilson fermions couple to photon chirally. Teir Wilson terms are gauge invariant by virtue of a “Wess-Zumino” scalar (Wilson-Yukawa terms), and the non-interacting components admit the shift symmetry discussed by Golterman and Petcher. Axial U(1) Ward-Takahashi identity is examined by weak gauge coupling expansion in unitary gauge. The term which reproduces the correct chiral anomaly is identified.
