Abstract

The effect of chirality imbalance on the QCD phase diagram is studied within the two flavors NambuJona- Lasinio model. We focus especially on the issues related to how the chemical potential (mu(5)) affects the phase diagram, and find the chiral as well as effects, which are analogous to the magnetic catalysis and inverse magnetic catalysis effects. Furthermore, our results are different from the existing model calculations, namely, there is no CEP5 on the T-mu(5) plane, since the whole phase transition is a crossover. In addition, with the introduction of the chemical potential, various QCD susceptibilities and the corresponding critical exponents are also studied.
